All internships have flexible dates to accommodate to the Intern’s schedule. Interns will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects that fit their interest and/or collaborate with other interns. Website Management Internship

The Website Management Intern will have a strong knowledge and understanding of web development and digital media landscape. The intern hired for this position will need strong critical thinking skills in order to integrate into our vibrant and passionate teams: The National Council of Jewish Women San Francisco and the San Francisco Collaborative Against Human Trafficking.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages and regularly updates content on www.ncjwsf.org and www.sfcaht.org  
  • Maintains websites to be user-friendly
  • Proposes initiatives for more efficient and relevant online engagement and interface design

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of, or ability to rapidly learn Squarespace and FatCow web design databases
  • Superb technical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong initiative, energy, and creativity; ability to work independently and in a team
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Adherence to deadlines and strong follow-through
  • Dependability and flexibility in meeting shifting demands and priorities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Creative, strategic and analytical thinker
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and perform with limited supervision

Social Media Internship

The Social Media Intern will have a strong knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape, including various social media websites. The Intern hired for this position will need strong critical thinking skills in order to integrate into our vibrant and passionate teams: The National Council of Jewish Women San Francisco and the San Francisco Collaborative Against Human Trafficking.

Responsibilities:

  • Attends events of the NCJW SF and SFCAHT to gather relevant and exciting insights to share with the appropriate networks
  • Consistently updates Facebooks and Twitters with news and events, as well as interesting links and materials, relevant to the NCJW SF and SFCAHT
  • Monitors and posts on blogs, forums, and social networks
  • Proposes new media platforms for greater online engagement, outreach and promotion

E-mail Blasts Internship

The E-mailing Intern will have a strong knowledge and interest in public relations, communications, and/or writing. The Intern hired for this position will have excellent communication skills, demonstrate creativity, and understand the importance of attending to even the smallest details. The Intern hired for this position will need strong critical thinking skills in order to integrate into our vibrant and passionate teams: The National Council of Jewish Women San Francisco and the San Francisco Collaborative Against Human Trafficking.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates MailChimp e-mail blasts to send news and announcements relevant to the NCJW SF and SFCAHT
  • Uses creativity to update e-mail templates
  • Updates and maintains contact lists as needed
  • Writes press releases and other materials

Requirements:

  • Strong communications, writing and editing skills
  • Solid understanding of social media
  • Strong initiative, energy, and creativity; ability to work independently and in a team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

Member/Donor Management Internship

The Member/Donor Management Intern will have a strong knowledge and understanding of project management and online software for non-profits. The intern hired for this position will need strong critical thinking skills in order to integrate into our vibrant and passionate team.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn eTapestry Online Software to manage and update the member and donor rosters of NCJW SF
  • Be able to teach aspects of the database to staff, when needed
  • Proposes initiatives for more efficient and relevant member and donor engagement

  • Knowledge of, or ability to rapidly learn eTapestry online software for non-profits
  • Superb technical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong initiative, energy, and creativity; ability to work independently and in a team

San Francisco Collaborative Against Human Trafficking Support Internship

The SFCAHT Support Intern will have a strong administrative skills. The Intern hired for this position will need strong critical thinking skills in order to integrate into our vibrant and passionate team.

Responsibilities:

  • Helps organize and staff SFCAHT Meetings: prepares and sends out meeting notices; drafts agendas and supporting documents
  • Attends SFCAHT meetings (in person or via phone call) to take notes and draft minutes
  • Collects information for SFCAHT Monthly – our monthly listing of events from various organizations
  • Other duties as needed

Requirements:

  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, verbal, and public communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Creative, strategic and analytical thinker
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and perform with limited supervision
  • High level of professionalism in both demeanor and conduct, with the proven ability to communicate effectively on the phone, in person, and in writing
  • Adherence to deadlines and strong follow-through
  • Dependability and flexibility in meeting shifting demands and priorities

Jewish Coalition to End Human Trafficking Support Internship

The JCEHT Support Intern will have a strong administrative skills. The Intern hired for this position will need strong critical thinking skills in order to integrate into our vibrant and passionate team.

Responsibilities:

  • Helps organize and staff JCEHT Meetings: prepares and sends out meeting notices; drafts agendas and supporting documents
  • Attends JCEHT meetings (in person or via phone call) to take notes and draft minutes
  • Other duties as needed
